Changelog: 1.2
This is the fourth numbered version of Översteir. 1.0 was the original one, deployed in April 2020; 1.1.0 was the second, including the declension tool, fixes and improvements, deployed in October 2020. 1.1.1 (Spring 2022) was a minor release including fixes and backend tweaks.
As usual, the previous numbered version (1.1.1) is still available at oversteir.talossa.com/legacy.
Syllabification and pronounciation guides (IPA and anglo "fauxnetics")! You'll be able to click on any Talossan result or generated word (eg. from the conjugator) and bring up an interface that will let you know how that word is pronounced.
The website and codebase in general have been improved and streamlined.
Except for small tweaks to the interface and backend stuff, the Översteir is essentially feature complete, so don't expect any major updates anymore.
The big thing is for sure taking the IPA and fauxnetics we already have, and turn those into speech synthesis. Another pipe dream thing (arguably even harder) is whole sentence translation. Don't expect any of these soon.
Great, tell us all about it! There's a link right below the Översteir's box to submit this sort of stuff, and you can directly contact either Lüc da Schir or Marcel Tafial on Wittenberg or Discord.
